110 YEARS ♦ 12 TEXTS – AN INVITATION TO DISCUSSION

Since 1905 the Villa Romana in Florence has been dedicated to contemporary artists. To celebrate its 110th anniversary and to create a platform for an online-discussion we invited artists, writers and scientists to write short essays. A new post will be published every month. Almost all the authors have worked with us over the past years. Their contributions differ greatly, and are critical, empathic, and poetic. They are written from an individual’s point of view, and analyse all aspects of the social reality.

You are cordially invited to comment on their work, to share your thoughts, and start a broad and varied discussion

We thank our fantastic audience, who in both real and virtual terms create the space for resonance which is essential for every kind of production, reflection and cooperation.
