Scuola Popolare in the garden of Villa Romana

programme Scuola Popolare (in Italian)

More than 80 artists and groups, scientists and activists have submitted proposals for the Scuola Popolare - more than we can realize in one Florentine summer. We have made a selection and assigned them to four chapters, some of which overlap: Imparare e Disimparare (Learning and Unlearning), Il se-narrabile (Self-narratives), Terra Feconda (Fertile Soil), Fuga (Fugue /Refuge). The event will conclude on 22 September with a panel discussion about the city and what it could enable us to do.

All events will take place in the garden of the Villa Romana, due to the hot season most likely in the morning or early evening. Participation is free of charge. The hygienic distance of 1.50 meters between people must be maintained. Please also bring your masks. Disinfectants are available on site. Please keep in mind that mosquitoes also love our garden and we cannot offer any food due to Corona.

In the next three months we will also send a weekly programme to our Italian friends with more detailed information on the individual projects. You will also find updated information in all three languages on our homepage. Please register /sign up - if possible - one week before a workshop starts via office@villaromana.org.

We are looking forward to this great, collaborative summer at Villa Romana!
