Villa Romana Fellows take up teaching posts

We are delighted that many Villa Romana Fellows have become sought after instructors and have taken up posts as professors and visiting professors at a number of art schools.

A (no doubt incomplete) list includes: Johannes Paul Raether (Villa Romana Fellow 2015) has recently accepted the newly established post of Professor for Fine Art / Performance at the Kunstakademie in Düsseldorf. Mariechen Danz (Villa Romana Fellow 2013) took up her position as visiting professor at the Akademie der bildenden Künste in Munich last year. Sophie Reinhold (Villa Romana Fellow 2012) taught Painting at the Muthesius Kunsthochschule in Kiel from 2014 to 2016. Yorgos Sapountzis (Villa Romana Fellow 2012) is visiting professor for Time-based Media at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Hamburg for the academic year 2016/2017.
Julia Schmidt (Villa Romana Fellow 2008) has been teaching painting for many years at the Kunstakademie Münster, while Clemens von Wedemeyer (Villa Romana Fellow 2008) has been teaching Media Art at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst in Leipzig. Kalin Lindena (Villa Romana Fellow 2009) is currently Professor for Painting at the Kunstakademie Karlsruhe, and Thomas Kilpper (Villa Romana Fellow 2011) has been professor at the Kunst- und Designhochschule in Bergen (Norway) since 2014. Heide Hinrichs (Villa Romana Fellow 2013) is teaching at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp and Alisa Margolis (Villa Romana Fellow 2015) has a position as visiting professor for Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts Helsinki (Finland).
