VILLA ROMANA - HOME

MALGORZATA MIRGA-TAS

born in 1978 in Zakopane, PL is a Bergitka Roma visual artist.
She lives and works in a Roma settlement in Czarna Góra in the Spisz region.

She is an international guest artist at the Villa Romana in August and November 2020,
in cooperation with the European Roma Institute for Arts and Culture (ERIAC).

Biography

Malgorzata studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow under Prof. Józef Sękowski and graduated in 2004.
In 2007 she founded and coordinated an international association for Roma and non-Roma artists called Jaw Dikh!. She organized the exhibition Kali Berga (2008) and also participated as an artist. She conducts integration workshops for Roma and non-Roma children and is co-author of several projects, including Romani Click and Romani Art.
