Lecture

Honza Zamojski
How it´s made 13 1/2

How it's made 13 1/2 will address various issues in independent publishing, sharing Honza’s own experience in getting multiple artist's books to print in 3 years. This lecture will describe how to establish, operate and develop a small publishing house. With a projector he will outline the different phases – idea, printing, distribution – required to realize a book to full effect, and also, of course, to find readers for it.

Honza Zamojski (born 1981) is an artist, curator and publisher. In the years 2010-2013 he ran the MORAVA publishing house, which published art books and editions.

In 2011 he won the Views prize, which is awarded every two years by the Deutsche Bank Foundation and the Warsaw Zacheta National Gallery. The prize is connected to the residency at Villa Romana.
