The aim of this first meeting in the course of the Terranauti project - which is at the same time a prologue of the entire project - is to express and reflect on various viewpoints in the contemporary art system: the interests of the artists, the gallerist, the director of a public museum and a curator who is well acquainted with developments in the art world specially in the middle eastern market.

A brief presentation of the four invited experts will lead to open up the discussion. The afternoon is dedicated to a dialogue between the professionals and the artists of the Terranauti project.

Terranauti is a programme that seeks to create a network of meetings and exchanges between artists and curators, gallerists, the curator of a private collection and a museum director through a series of seminars aimed at artists under 35, born in Tuscany, and temporary or former residents. The project springs from a main theme: What are the expectations and circumstances behind the choice to continue living in this region or for temporary residence here, and the actual experiences found or put into action in the same period. Likewise, a change of perspective is fundamental: what happens when we come up against other needs, other realities, other ways of working, other systems?
