Villa Romana:
Through the artists’ eyes
Villa Romana hosted by the Italian Embassy
6 pm
Since 1905, the Villa Romana in Florence has been welcoming contemporary German artists who have been awarded the Villa Romana Prize. They live and work in the neoclassical villa on the Via Senese for ten months, exploring the city and its surroundings, presenting their works on location and enjoying the high concentration on their artistic work. It is not unusual for places, stories and people in Florence to become the subject of new works. On the occasion of the Day of Giornata del Contemporaneo - Italian Contemporary Art, Villa Romana presents nine artists in the Italian Embassy, who have worked in Florence in recent years.
