Edi Hila, first International Guest Artist at Villa Romana (2007), exhibits at Vienna Secession
From 18 September to 08 November 2020, Edi Hila, the first ever International Guest Artist at Villa Romana (2007), presents about 20 paintings from recent years, and also some works from the late 1990s, in the solo exhibition The Sound of the Tuba. In his artistic practice he deals with the dynamic political history of Albania and the painting tradition of the Mediterranean region.The Association of Visual Artists Vienna Secession is the world's oldest gallery which has continuously been led by artists. With an international exhibition programme the focus explicitly lies on showing contemporary artistic positions.
